Adventures in Creating an Outdoor Leadership Challenge Course for an Emba Program
AbstractOutdoor-based experiential training (OBET) experiences are a relatively new way to develop executive leadership potential. This paper documents the evolution of several OBET events over a three-year period in a prominent Executive MBA program. Along the way, we document what the designs and outcomes were for each OBET course. It is our hope that this paper will encourage others to experiment and share their own OBET experiences so that the potential of this approach can be realized, particularly in the area of evaluative studies.
