Transformational Thinking in the Organizational Behavior Course: The Use of Metaphor as an Assessment Tool
Abstract
The paper discusses an effort to use metaphorical imagery in completing an outcome assessment exercise for the basic course in organizational behavior. This imagery is drawn from a popular video shown at the beginning and end of the course. The outcomes assessment exercise focuses on value added measures of trans-formational thinking relative to student ability to conceptualize organizational phenomena. The paper reports partial results of this pilot study.Downloads
