Abstract

As widely accepted as simulation games are, a persistent issue questions the effectiveness and the validity of this form of’ learning. Effectiveness has been addressed in dozens of empirical studies while validity continues to be the focus of current research. This paper describes a controlled experiment investigating the adaptive behavior of’ singleplayer simulation teams to the environment created in the simulation competition, a necessary condition for simulation model validity.
