Abstract

The authors redefine Decision Support System (DSS) to fit the newest generation of business game which does away with hard copy and uses only disk file input and output. Their DSS includes a DIS which facilitates the team decision handling aspects of computer simulations, and it hosts a DAT which is a data base system utilizing Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheets networked together with macros. Both DIS and DAT are described with examples. Tue authors conclude with a discussion of the benefits of DIS 'n DAT.
