A Comparison of two Approaches to Management Skill-Building in an Organizational Behavior Course: a Replication

Abstract

This study compared experiential exercise and behavior modeling approaches to teaching management skills using a sample of 69 undergraduate business students. The behavior modeling approach improved behavioral management skills more than the experiential exercise approach on one of two skills learning measures, providing a partial. replication of an earlier study by McEvoy and Cragun (1936-87) differences were found in student reactions to the two approaches.
