The Use of Self-Assessment Workshops in a School of Business Administration
Abstract
During the past twenty years assessment centers have become increasingly popular as a method of predicting managerial effectiveness. MacKinnon [61 estimates that at least 300 organizations use assessment centers, including AT&T, Caterpillar Tractor, IBM, Sears, Standard Oil of Ohio, and many Federal and State Government agencies. There is a good deal of evidence supporting the validity of the assessment center as a predictor of managerial effectiveness [3, 8].Downloads
