Computer Simulation: A Design Architectonic
Abstract
This paper explores the development of a computer simulation design approach that is grounded in a three level architectonic that defines market needs & constraints, core values, and design elements. From this the paper explores the architectural needs of business simulations, describes a software architecture, and experience using the architecture to design seven new simulations and re-engineer nineteen other simulations dating from the 1970s, 1980s, and early 1990s. Finally outcomes are discussed in terms of future proofing, design flexibility, customizability, and speeding simulation development.Downloads
