Resumen

International comparative research was conducted on the degree of collectivism and the methods of group decision-making in Japanese, Chinese, and Russian firms, using a gaming simulation we developed called MBABEST21. As a result of our quantitative and qualitative analyses, it was found that: the degree of collectivism obeyed the inequality China>Russia>Japan; teams whose members rated each other highly for fulfilling their respective roles in the gaming exhibited good game results; and group decision-making is not stressed in Russian firms, but is stressed to an extreme degree in Chinese companies.
